Profit-Taker Riven Reference Guide
1. General Riven Notes:
Rivens are not essential for most players.
Only invest if you’re at a high skill level aiming to optimize.
For a Riven to be worth equipping on a weapon, it needs to replace at least one mod of the rivenless build.
Always test for one-shot viability via:
- Altair grading bot (Profit-Taker Discord, use a/g + riven image)
- Profit-Taker Calculator (https://calc.profit-taker.com)
2. Archguns
Velocitus (Volt only, Necramech)
Usage: Uncharged shots through Volt Shield + Damage Blessing
With Bulwark/Overcharge you can oneshot legs with almost any roll that has critical chance and some form of damage stat, however high fire rate builds still require specific stat combinations. Use the template build in the Volt guide as a reference when replacing mods, and always check your damage in the Profit-Taker calc to see if your riven can oneshot.

Corvas (Necramech)
Riven is not mandatory since a charged shot can oneshot legs rivenless, but good rolls can enable higher fire rate and uncharged oneshots. Fire rate only affects the delay between shots, not the charge rate.
Harmless negatives are:
- Zoom
- Status Chance/Duration
- Ammo Max
- +Recoil

Prisma Dual Decurions (Mirage Solo)
Critical chance (mandatory) and various damage stats enable more fire rate. +Ammo Maximum can be useful if you find yourself running into cooldown problems, but generally Primed Ammo Chain is sufficient.
Harmless negatives are:
- Zoom (ideal)
- Status Chance/Duration
Prisma Dual Decurions/Imperator Vandal (Squad)
Used by Mirage/Jade/Chroma
In squad runs, archgunners have access to Secondary Outburst. This can replace all crit mods, so rolls are very flexible. Look for fire rate, multishot and elemental/Corpus damage.
Harmless negatives:
- Zoom (ideal)
- Status Chance/Duration
- Ammo Max
Mausolon
Poor disposition (0.5x); rivens rarely beat standard mods.
Optional Riven:
- Critical Chance (only if dropping Arcane Avenger)
- Fire Rate
- Any Damage Stat
3. Primaries
Kuva Ogris
Needs >50 % Multishot
Harmless negatives:
- Zoom
- Reload Speed
- Status Chance/Duration
- Crit Chance/Damage
- Faction Damage
Avoid:
- Ammo Max
- Magazine Capacity
- +Recoil
Volt
Damage + Multishot with a harmless negative is required to onetick pylons with one shot.
Damage must be over 150% on Kuva Ogris if using Umbral Intensify. With Precision Intensify any value will work if you have a negative and no 3rd stat.
Multishot grade doesn’t matter.
Chroma
Riven selection is a lot more flexible since it is possible to onetick pylons with fully stacked Vex Armour with just 60% additional multishot on the riven.
Damage on the riven can allow for a little flexibility with shards or Ogris builds, and magazine capacity/fire rate also helps.
If on a budget you will be fine with virtually any riven that gives you >60% multishot.
Zenith
Deprecated
Worse than Ogris in almost every way, unless you need it to cover toxin.

Same as Volt but base damage should be avoided, replace with crit damage/damage to corpus/any other stat that allows you to slot the riven.

5. Melee (Balla Zaw)
A good riven can mean the difference between needing one or two throws for some elements.
Harmless negatives (for both frames) are:
- Status Chance/Duration
- Range
- Finisher Damage
- Heavy‑Attack Efficiency
- Slide Crit Chance
- Faction Damage
Avoid:
- Electricity/Impact/Puncture/Slash (both as negative and positive stats).
Volt
An ideal Balla riven allows Volt to oneshot every Balla element with Exodia Contagion, including the damage over time instance. This is generally not a huge timesaver however, and does not need to be prioritised. The necessary stats are crit damage, damage and an element (heat, cold or toxin, NOT elec). You need at least B+ grades on crit damage and/or damage to reach the breakpoint, the element grade is irrelevant.
Chroma
Attack speed+element (heat, cold or toxin, NOT elec) is the ideal roll for Chroma. Critical damage is also fine.
Squad Profit-Taker
Volt, Mirage and Wisp are the core of the squad, if you want to farm credits then the 4th slot is for Chroma, if running for speedrun times you would want Jade.
